Food for the Future:

A Cross-Baltic School-to-Community Approach to Zero Waste
GTZW-web-bg2.png

Food for the Future is an upcoming cross-Baltic project running from autumn 2025 to autumn 2026 in three schools across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

It will feature Food Waste Days with chefs, students, and grandparents, followed by a Food Waste Ambassadors program empowering youth to lead change in their communities.

In addition, municipality roundtables will bring together local leaders, chefs, and Nordic embassies to turn ideas into lasting policies. Rooted in Nordic values of sustainability and cooperation, the project shows how local action can inspire lasting impact.

Project partners:

The Danish Cultural Institute in the Baltics, the Embassy of Sweden in Latvia, and the Royal Danish Embassies in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
